Who?

Job 38:37-38 (NIV) – Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together?

Psalm 18:31 (NIV) – For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?

Psalm 73:25 (ESV) – Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.

Psalm 89:6 (ESV) – For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord?

Psalm 113:5-6 (ESV) – Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth?

Isaiah 40:12-13 (NKJV) – Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance? Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him?

Romans 7:24 (NKJV) – O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Romans 8:33 (NKJV) – Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?

Romans 8:35 (NKJV) – Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

All of these questions, most of them rhetorical, point to the only wise God in heaven. Only He could form the universe, this earth, a human being, a beautiful flower, and control all things, or make all things beautiful.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV) – He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

How special is that? To belong to such a God?
