God Is

I was awake for a couple of hours in the night. So I kept my mind occupied by thinking of all the things God is.

He is an ANCHOR for the drifter (Hebrews 6:19).

He is a BANNER for the victorious (Exodus 17:15).

He is the CALM amidst the storm (Psalm 107:29).

He is a DELIVERER for the captive (Psalm 18:2).

He is EYES for the blind (Psalm 146:8).

He is a FORTRESS for the fearful (Psalm 91:2).

He is a GUIDE for the pilgrim (Psalm 48:14).

He is a HELPER for the helpless (Hebrews 13:6).

He is an INTERCESSOR for the weak (Romans 8:26).

He is the JUSTIFIER for the sinner saved by grace (Titus 3:6-7).

He is a KEEPER for those endangered (Psalm 121:5).

He is LIGHT for those in darkness (John 8:12).

He is MERCY for the sinner (Titus 3:5).

He is NEW LIFE for the dead (Ephesians 2:4-5; I John 5:20).

He is the OVERSEER for the wandering soul (I Peter 2:25).

He is a PEACEMAKER for those divided by prejudice (Ephesians 2:14).

He is QUIET for the restless (Zephaniah 3:17).

He is REST for the weary (Matthew 11:28).

He is STRENGTH for the weak (Psalm 59:17).

He is the TRUTH that overcomes all lies (John 14:6).

He is UNITY for the divided ((Romans 15:5).

He is the VINE that produces fruitful branches (John 15:5).

He is WATER for the thirsty (Isaiah 55:1; John 4:14).

He is the EXAMPLE for His followers (I Peter 2:21).

He is YAHWEH (LORD/I AM) for all people of all time (Exodus 3:14; Psalm 97:5-6).

He is ZION to those who wait for Him (Isaiah 51:11).

Who is God for you? Isn’t He all that you need today and every day?
