Someday
I used to have a one-word sign on the wall of my office. It simply said SOMEDAY.
It was a reminder to me that a better day is coming. No matter how dark the present circumstances are, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
A friend of mine published a booklet of poems called “It Came to Pass.” It’s a phrase often found in the Bible that simply means “this is what happened.” But my poet friend, who has a great sense of humor, used it as a play on words stressing the word “pass.” It highlighted the idea that something would end and change for the better.
God’s Word assures us that someday great change will occur. When we get bogged down in what’s happening today, we can focus on the promises for tomorrow.
Here’s one of my favorite passages about the hope we have in Christ. I Peter 1:3-6 (J. B. Phillips) says, “Thank God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that in his great mercy we have been born again into a life full of hope, through Christ’s rising again from the dead! You can now hope for a perfect inheritance beyond the reach of change and decay, reserved in Heaven for you. And in the meantime you are guarded by the power of God operating through your faith, till you enter fully into the salvation which is all ready to be revealed at the last. This means tremendous joy to you, even though at present you are temporarily harassed by all kinds of trials.”
Jesus Himself said, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:2-4, NKJV).
In the revelation John received from the Lord, he recorded this: “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4, NKJV).
Someday is coming! And it’s going to be a great one! Let’s embrace the truth and the hope and the joy that are based on the promises of God. Doesn’t that give you a new perspective on today? Are you ready to meet Christ? Is this our special SOMEDAY?

My disappointment is our internet is very unstable 99.9 % of our life in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Cana, VA–3 miles from NC!!
I am including your site in a ladies retreat material to be give in the Lord’s timing. Still creating 3 needed sessions after 3 years of notice since I am declining mentally with some days better than others! Therefore, every time I sit to write, I rearrange but never solidify!!
I continue to dwell on GOD’S PRIZED POSSESSION…as I cry out to Him in my moments of discouragement for needed direction.
“Father, continue to provide YOUR grace and energy for YOUR work thru Donna, Conrad and me till You call each of us home to You with, ‘Welcome home, My REDEEMED child!’ Amen.” before internet becomes weak…. AMEN and AMEN to GOD BE THE LORD!
